Given its beginner-friendly approach, you get a different expansive feature set than desktop solutions like Photoshop, but there are undoubtedly enough tools to produce impressive results. 

The platform offers over a million design assets, such as backgrounds, stickers, stock photos, graphics, and animations that you drag and drop into your design.

Along with basic adjustments to image qualities such as brightness, contrast, and shadows, the software also has a range of vector tools that you can use to create all kinds of vector graphics and advanced text editing capabilities to really make your copy stand out.

One thing we love about Photoshop is how well it handles layers.

Canva has a similar system that keeps each of your design elements so you can edit and reposition them individually. However, there’s no easy way to navigate between layers, and we’ve lost count of the times we’ve become stuck trying to click on one element when another was in the way.

With Photoshop, there’s no such problem. 

Each element of your design is saved as its own layer, with all your layers laid out in a menu so you can easily work on one thing without touching the rest of your design. 

Elsewhere, a big highlight is an ability to set up workflows and use batch processing to automate tasks that you repeat regularly, making it the perfect choice for professional designers looking to cut down on the time they spend working on projects.
